notice change at the wee right of the screen. yes. cause and effect, laddies, cause and effect. so yes, bombay it has been for a week, in which I have already seen 'Bunty aur Babli' twice, switched to Wills Classic Milds and been hit on by Australian men (which is not AT ALL as exciting as it sounds). While living in santa cruz is markedly different from being located bang in the centre of Town, there are advantages. I finally get what the local train phenomenon is. The whole 'heart of bombay' spiel. I still have to stalk people who buy churchgate tickets before me, because signs like C and BO and 'S' and 'F' make me reach for my babel fish.
recommendations for the week: the Grand Hyatt with exceedingly good coffee and deee-vine desserts. layers and layers and layers of creamy nothingness to swim into

  2. hi JAP, i know i promised a rant but somehow when the plane shot off to bombay I forgot why I was so angry. The surf-wave clouds and the lightning flashes we skirted around could have something to do with it.

  3. Hey spend a nice bit of time in your blog and enjoyed it thoroughly. Congrats on your new job, too bad that you aren't going to enjoy the imported toilet paper though :-)

Btw...you sure the Grand Hyatt coffee is good? Apart from the wierd matrix like clothing, I found nothing interesting (especially coffee), guess its mah southie background speaking.

    Cheers.

  4. JAP - the calcutta rant, she probably realized, was pointless. in any case, she lived in some obscure village while in cal, from which it took some 2 hours to get to tollygunge...so. rural india rant is what you were waiting for.
fingers were tapping on table-edges the world over.
